We require all our landlords are members of National Landlords or similar body and can take their training courses to be excellent landlords.  Of course, most of the time you never see your landlord and he is happy to leave you to it, after all it is your home.  You can paint a room a different colour without asking permission.  Lots of our tenants have pets, some more than one, and were very happy when they heard they did not have to say goodbye to their dog(s) and cat(s).
