Stay On as a Tenant

When the initial period ends, you may not be in a position to buy your property back, nor may you wish to burden yourself with a mortgage again.

Equally you may not wish to move anywhere else. 

So you can stay on as a 'normal' tenant with a new Assured Shorthold Tenancy agreement which will become periodic after the first six months.  The rental figure may change, as it will normally have stayed the same for the contracted term. 

We offer you a proper tenancy which starts at six months and then becomes periodic.  This is the same as any Lettings Agency will offer you.  We also contract the landlord to adhere to the terms of the contracted period.  So you have a contracte period on a fixed rent after which you can opt to continue the tenancy.

If your landlord wants to sell the property after the Five Year Plan, he must first offer it to another landlord within the Mortgage Rescue Scheme, who will then take over the tenancy.  Next he must offer it to another landlord.
